Project Construction & Staging
During the design process, it was decided that closures and detours of TH 19 and the I-35 Ramps should be minimized to the greatest extent. As a result of that decision, the project will be constructed in 6 stages during the project. The next pages will show the proposed staging of the project, estimated durations, and if any closures are proposed.
Please keep in mind that the Contractor may propose changes to the staging to aid in constructibility and/or to reduce the duration of the individual stage of the project.
Estimated construction durations are weather-dependent.

Stage 2A
Description: Stage 2A will begin construction of the proposed roundabout, CR 59, the north portion of CSAH 46, and the north portion of the new NB I-35 Entrance Ramp.
Traffic Impacts: TH 19 traffic will be shifted to the temporary bypass roadway. The NB I-35 Exit Ramp will be closed. CSAH 46 (Hazelwood Ave.) and CR 59 (Anoka Ave.) will remain closed.
Detour: NB I-35 Exit Ramp will be detoured via the CSAH 1 Interchange, west to CSAH 46 (Bagley Avenue), and then north to TH 19.
Estimated Duration: 8 weeks
